The Force India VJM07 was the first Formula One car of the 2014 season to be revealed by any team.

But the single profile image of the car which the team issued kept one of the most controversial aspects of the new designs from view – the front nose. When the covers came off the real car at Jerez on January 28th, it was revealed to have an unsightly extension to its front nose which had now come familiar from several other teams’ designs.

In Sergio Perez’s hands the VJM07 became the team’s first design since 2009 to achieve a podium finish, at the Bahrain Grand Prix. But Nico Hulkenberg was their top scorer over the season, allowing them to equal their best championship position of sixth.

The VJM remained in service at the beginning of 2015, when the team used it for pre-season testing at the Circuit de Catalunya in a revised livery.
