Dave, I thought you were exaggerating for effect, but when I looked at the table properly, I realised that Merc are only 44 points behind Ferrari, so if this weekend, Merc took 1 and 2, plus the fastest lap bonus point, and Ferrari had two DNFs, they’d be tied dead level on points! Obviously I don’t think that is an unlikely scenario, but it shows Ferrari are in striking distance, whereas Red Bull are so far over the horizon that they look untouchable. If Merc do find some extra speed, Ferrari could be in big trouble.
