With SAI’s performances and luck… Ferrari has no chance… unless they suddenly come up with a car as dominant as 2014 Mercedes or so.

Ferrari lost a good chance for another win this weekend. RB have reportedly shedded a few extra kg for Imola and they have a significant advantage on the straights. Perhaps RB is already ahead of Ferrari.
Ferrari has new PU elements incoming for Miami but still cannot imagine them having a dominant weekend on such long straights. Ferrari’s last chances for wins this season should be Spain and Monaco, maybe Hungary and Singapore but by then merc might be already ahead of Ferrari.
I don’t know when merc is going to lose the weight and bring their new PU up but looks like they do have a lot of low hanging fruit, easy laptime to pick up.

Don’t think so. They looked great before the races, not anymore since the Sprint Race. I think max possible result for them today was P2, no mistakes at all. Unfortunately, a poor start, a slow pit-stop, then LEC’s mistake meant P6 was the final result.

Strange to look at the points and see that russell nearly has double hamilton’s points and the fact that Bottas would likely be ahead of him had he not had his retirement in Saudi Arabia. Hamilton is really going to have to improve this year.

Some hefty points won for Verstappen and Red Bull. Not what Ferrari would have been expecting. Russell still keeping within fighting distance if the impossible happens and Mercedes get their act together.

A lot of points were lost by Red Bull due to reliability rather than pace, and so far Australia has been the only race where Ferrari really had the measure of them. Given their superior pace here this weekend, at a somewhat slower and more twisty track, and also that it’s such a long season, there’s still a good chance Verstappen wraps up the championship before the end of the season.
Time is running out for Mercedes, even if Russell hanging in there is quite remarkable, and Ferrari will be looking to up their game as well with some upgrades.

Russell never had an off weekend, he maximised the potential of the car every time, if I recall he got a 4th, 5th, 3rd, 4th place, which depending on retirements ahead was the max he could do save for beating hamilton the first race.
