The driver line-up for the first test of the 2017 F1 season has been confirmed.
All bar one of this year’s 20 race drivers will be in action at the Circuit de Catalunya in the four-day test which begins today. The only driver not participating is Pascal Wehrlein, who is still recovering from an injury sustained at the Race of Champions.
His place at Sauber will be taken by Antonio Giovinazzi for this test. The only other reserve driver running this week is Alfonso Celis Jnr, who do one day of running in the Force India.
The fourth day of the test will be given over to testing Pirelli’s new wet weather tyres.
