  1. Seeing that picture of Ric and Sainz reminds me of the battle those 2 had between turns 1-5. Absolutely stunning. And if anybody sees this comment, can you help me with something. After the safety car for Grosjean went away, the order was Ric, Verstappan then Sainz if I’m not mistaken. All of a sudden, with no coverage or commentary pointing it out, Sainz was ahead of both Ric and Max. HOW AND WHERE DID HE PULL THAT OFF SO FAST!?!?!

    1. Very good question. Lack of proper coverage.

I think it was Ric-Sai-Ver before pit. After it was Ric-Ver-Sai. So Sainz either overtook Verstappen or was given way via team orders. He somehow got ahead of Verstappen. Then he must surely have overtaken Ricciardo. Did they show this? I only remember Ricciardo taking the position back?

  2. I would have liked to see a podium picture here – with ushankas.

  3. Pic of Checo ‘s crew shows the exact emotions I was going throug when he got the podium.

    1. I was actually thinking – if it only were two steps ahead it would have been an Indian national anthem for the first time on a Grand Prix podium!

  4. I’m very disappointed to see that only one of the ten photos is correctly credited to the photographer who shot it. While I realize that the shooters work for agencies or teams, which do show in the photo credits, it’s extremely rude not to include the person whose talent with a camera actually planned and produced the shots.

As a professional sports photographer, who also publishes the work of other sports shooters, I would never exclude the names of the actual photographer, nor would I ever agree to have any of my own shots published without a photo credit attached.

Your website would not publish a story without crediting the author, so why not give the photographers the same professional courtesy? If the team or agency will not provide the names, I would suggest either insisting on it, or not publishing the shots at all. I do understand that the shooter’s contracts most likely cover the non-mentions, but that doesn’t make it right.

    1. I do not use any images I have not obtained permission to use, I always strive to abide by the requirements on crediting given by whoever the images have been obtained from, and my understanding at present is that I am meeting those requirements. You or I can go on social media sites and immediately see huge numbers of individuals (some of which may be considered competitors to this site) stealing images and using them without permission or credit. Given that, it hardly seems reasonable to criticise me for using images I have obtained permission for in a manner approved by the copyright holders.

  5. Nice pictures!
