  1. I never really like the Sunday pictures: for most photographers it is their chance to take picture of multiple cars at once. Sometimes when I go through these I get the feeling that anyone can take a picture like that, that is when you’ve got some fancy expensive lenses. Anyway, thanks for putting them together Keith, as always.

    1. As a keen amateur photographer, I have to say the opposite- these photos are always brilliant and obviously taken by professionals who know their equipment, their trade and can capture the moment. Having photographed 3 grands prix and numerous other Motorsport and sporting events, I can assure you that to take photos like these takes hours of practice mixed with a lot of skill and great technical understanding. Perhaps you should try it- it really is difficult but also extremely rewarding when you get that great shot.

      1. I do actually. Maybe my formulation wasn’t clear: I know most of these photos are extremely difficult to make, for example this d’Ambrosio pic (http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2012/09/09/2012-italian-grand-prix-pictures/lotu-raik-monz-2012-3/) is just awesome. I’m talking about pictures like this (http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2012/09/09/2012-italian-grand-prix-pictures/f1-grand-prix-of-italy-3/), where I get the feeling that somebody just clicked and that’s it (awful composition, backlight, etc.)

    2. @andae23 at first I thought the same too, but it’s actually very hard. And once you get decent pictures, not all of them are composed well. Even photographing amateur races in weekend meets could be hard, I can only imagine how hard it is to do with F1 cars.

  2. Hi Keith … I noticed only only two shots (1-JB and 1-LH/JB) stamped with McLaren on them, while the podium shots were not stamped. Is that because there are still more to be added? After all the conjecture, I was particularly interested in seeing the typical post-race P1 celebratory pictures. Then I see there is only the P2 group hug shot. My first thought was – hmmmm.

  3. I’d love to see one with Felipe Massa and Sergio Perez in it, just in case Perez takes Massa’s Ferrari seat anytime soon!

  4. Ma just looks stunned to be in Bernie’s presence, bless him.
